Who is responsible
Even is the workspace for your startup program. Even Founders (CVR 44427427), Frederiksholms Kanal 30, 1220 København K, Denmark, is responsible for your personal data (the data controller). Questions and requests about your data go to hello@evenfounders.com.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, when you were invited and when you last signed in.
- Your profile: the name, company and location you enter, and a profile picture if you upload one. All of these are optional.
- Your work: your Startup Canvas, your answers and forms in the weekly program, and which tasks you've ticked off.
- Your chats with the companion: the messages you send, its replies, whether you accepted or rejected its suggestions, and the notes it gives when you ask it to check an answer.
- How much you use the companion: for each request, how many words (tokens) it took and what that cost, so AI use stays within a budget per student. Your teacher sees your total for the month.
- What you tell us about new features: on the “Coming soon” pages, whether you asked to be told when a page opens, the options you ticked and anything you typed. Your teacher sees totals and the typed notes, not who wrote them.
Your work can include information about other people — for example the names of potential customers you interview, and what they said. Only record what you need for the program, and tell the people you interview that you take notes.
Analytics, only if you say yes: when you first open Even we ask whether we may use analytics. If you agree, we record how you use the app to make it better — which pages and buttons you use, errors you run into, screen recordings in which every piece of text you see or type is blanked out, and how much you use the companion (which model, how long it took, what it cost — never what you or it wrote). These are linked to your account ID and email address. If you say no, none of this is collected.
We don't sell or share your data for advertising.
Why we use it
Only to run the program you were invited to: to sign you in, to keep your work, and to let the companion help you with it. In the app, your teacher can only see who has an account, whether they have signed in and how much each student's companion use cost this month — not your work or your chats. The people who run the service can technically access all stored data, and only do so when it's needed to keep the service running or to fix a problem you report.
The companion
When you send a message, or ask the companion to check an answer, it goes to Anthropic, which makes the Claude AI models, together with what the companion needs to answer: your canvas, your work in the weekly program, the conversation so far, a list of the course material, and any guide, video transcript or reading it looks up to answer you. Anthropic processes it to write the reply and then sends it back.
Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent to its API isn't used to train its models. Anthropic keeps it only for a limited time, as described in its privacy information at anthropic.com.
The companion is called Daisy. Daisy is an AI, not a person.
The companion can make mistakes. It only suggests changes; nothing in your work changes until you accept a suggestion or choose to use its rewrite.
Who processes your data for us
- Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage. Stored in Ireland (EU).
- Vercel — hosts the app. Runs in Paris, France (EU).
- Anthropic — the companion. Processes messages in the United States.
- PostHog — analytics, only if you agreed to it. Stored in the EU.
- Resend — sends sign-in and invite emails.
Each works under a data processing agreement and may only use your data to provide their service to us. Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account, or at the latest 6 months after the program ends. Deleting your account removes your profile, your work and your chats straight away. Backups that still contain them are overwritten within a short period.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Get a copy of your data — Profile → Download my data.
- Correct it — edit your work and profile directly in the app.
- Delete it — Profile → Delete my account.
- Object to or ask us to limit how we use it, by writing to hello@evenfounders.com.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet (the Danish Data Protection Agency), datatilsynet.dk.
Cookies and storage in your browser
The app needs a cookie that keeps you signed in. It also keeps a few things in your browser so the app works smoothly: your answer to the analytics question, whether you keep the menu open, and a copy of your name and profile picture so they show straight away. If you agree to analytics, PostHog also stores an ID in your browser to connect your visits; if you don't, it stores nothing. There are no advertising cookies. To change your answer, sign out and in again — you'll be asked again — or clear this site's data in your browser.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email if the change matters to you.
